Under the management of the Vakakkad Vicar Rev. Fr. Gee Varghese Mukkalikunnel of Kurumbanadam Parish the construction of the Little Flower Clarist convent was completed  on 1st October 1927.  Rev. Sr. Marianjela from Bharananganam with five other sisters started living there. 
St. Alphonsa had lived in this convent and  taught in the Vakakkad school for one year in 1932.
The new convent was built in 1946 and a chapel was built and blessed in 1950.
